That’s why we’re proud to share that Efty has joined the Internet Commerce Association (ICA) as a corporate member. What makes this step even more meaningful for us is that we’re joining many of our longstanding Efty users, from leading domain brokers to the owners of some of the world’s most premium portfolios, who are already represented among the members within the ICA. For us, joining the ICA is not just a commitment to advocacy, but also a way to deepen our connection with the customers we proudly serve and to forge even stronger relationships with partners across the entire domain name ecosystem.
Why the ICA matters
The ICA is the leading trade association dedicated to protecting the rights of domain name owners worldwide. They advocate for fair policies, fight against abusive practices such as reverse domain name hijacking, and ensure that domain ownership, whether by an investor, a business, or an individual, is respected as the valuable property right it is.
Behind this advocacy is a dedicated team whose work makes the ICA so effective. Zak Muscovitch, General Counsel, has been a pioneer in domain name law since the late 1990s, successfully defending owners’ rights in numerous precedent-setting cases. Kamila Sekiewicz, Executive Director, has led the ICA since 2017, growing its membership and influence while fostering a strong sense of community. Together with the ICA’s board and members, they ensure that domain owners everywhere have a strong voice and solid protection.
The ICA’s work comes to life at its annual Member Meeting in Las Vegas, widely regarded as the ultimate meeting of the minds in the domain name aftermarket. Our leadership team has attended this event for many years, and the quality of the discussions, networking, and opportunities to engage directly with C-level executives from leading companies in the space is unparalleled.
